I began with an alert from a leak detector that my RO system [originally installed in 2012] began leaking. I used the Yelp 'Request Quotes' project feature (I've used this feature twice and it has provided excellent results for me each time). … More Serv-all was one of two companies that responded the quickest. After comparing what data the companies shared with me [based on my needs and questions] and after researching each company in terms of licensing and Yelp reviews, I decided to go with Serv-all.
From first contact, Monday morning with Serv-all to schedule service, to the techs driving away was about five hours (very efficient process)! Shawn and Dimitri arrived approximately 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled time frame! They are a dynamic duo. They work well together. I was impressed and relieved that I did not have to deal with the problem as I hate working on indoor plumbing.
The cost of the 5-stage unit, leak detector, and installation service was comparable to another company quote I received. The RO unit is 'made in the USA' which was on my wish list for RO units. Having spoken earlier to Corinne on the phone about payment options, I chose to pay at the time of service with my credit card. Once the installation was complete, one tech finished the cleanup (which was minimal; pretty easy standard install). While the other finished up the electronic paperwork with me and collected payment. Dimitri came equipped with technology capable of processing a credit card payment. I think he even emailed me the invoice while we stood there! I suffer from anxiety when it comes to indoor plumbing issues (past trauma LOL) but this experience was great.
The old unit was overdue for filters by many months(I forgot), had begun leaking, and the water coming out of it registered on the TDS almost the same as the tap water! Now... using my TDS meter it is in the low 20s and I was advised that the TDS may even go lower as the filters get 'broken in' (for lack of a better way to describe the process; research it for a technical explanation). I discarded all of the ice cubes from my freezer and purged water from the fridge water dispenser until the TDS meter read similar to the RO faucet at the sink. I also cycled through some ice cube drops; melting some cubes in a glass and then taking a TDS meter reading. The ice cubes visually look so much better as well (clearer). WOW!
The entire process that day from start to finish went smoothly.
So, even though indoor plumbing leaks evoke high anxiety with me, it did bring to my attention a dire need to address the RO water quality or lack thereof. P.S. I cannot stress enough how much I love leak detectors! Worth every penny! The first thing I did once the purging process was done (which was explained by a tech before they left), I prepared coffee!

Corinne, an owner, is very knowledgeable and answered every question that I had thoroughly. I decided to go with Serv-All because there were so many posted good reviews and because they have been in service for decades. I also think the five-year warranty on labor is the best that I found.
I was able to get the water softener installed on the same day that I committed. The plumber, Mark Galloway, was punctual, knowledgeable, and took his time to explain the entire process to me. He efficiently replaced the old unit and installed the new one without any hassle. He ensured me that everything was working perfectly before he left and fully went through the steps to operate the new system.
I haven't yet experienced the soft water because it has just been installed, but I'm sure it will be great based on my overall impression of the company and the appearance of the water softener. I am confident that if I have any problems that Serv-All will quickly address the issues.
